Dénia is written for percussion ensemble in the style of a Spanish Flamenco. Flexible mallet voicing allows for a variety of melodic timbres; accompanies by a Flamenco rhythm section that includes traditional Palmas-style handclapping.

Instrumentation: Mallet 1 (Xylophone or Marimba) Mallet 2 (Vibes or Marimba) Mallet 3 (4.3-octave Marimba) Egg Shaker Cajon Hand Clap 1 Hand Clap 2 Hand Clap 3 Mallet 1 or 2 can be performed on a single marimba with Mallet 3.
