Journey through time and space with Time Dilation by Francisco Perez. This medium-advanced percussion ensemble for eight players draws inspiration from an effect of Einstein's special theory of relativity known as "gravitational time dilation," which states that time is not an absolute measure in our universe. Perez begins the piece with a hypnotic 5-count riff that permeates throughout with moments of energetic grooves, disorienting layers, and expansive spaciousness.
