Reflection in White by John Wolff is an ensemble work that draws on images of snowfall, winter memories, and quiet reflection. The piece unfolds through a carefully constructed, mirrored form in which the latter portion serves as a retrograde inversion of the opening material in a new key.

Scored for glockenspiel, two vibraphones, two marimbas (including an optional low A marimba part), and percussion, the work relies heavily on keyboard percussion to create its musical character. Melodic fragments, ringing harmonies, and recurring motives pass throughout the ensemble as the music gradually builds from delicate opening statements into more active and energetic passages.
