This book and CD package focuses on all the component grooves of each song. Using this as a play-along for drum set, the student is given the opportunity to sit in David Garibaldi's chair and perform with two of today's most respected percussionists, Jesus Diaz and Michael Spiro. The connection between funk and Afro-Cuban drumming is explained in detail through examples and text. As a bonus there is a performance of the traditional rhythms that inspired each song.
