Triology is a follow-up to the popular collection of duets for young percussionists, Duology. The aim was for the music to mature with the students, so these pieces are slightly more challenging than those found in the original duet collection. The book is divided into three sections – non-pitched percussion, pitched percussion, and mixed percussion – with five trios in each.

Clickbait: 3 drums with a rim, 1 pair of snare drum sticks
Banish the Dark: snare drum, medium tom, bass drum

PITCHED PERCUSSION
Starfall: bells, 2 on 1 vibraphone
Scorched: xylophone, 2 on 1 marimba (4.3-octave)
Pachelbel's Ghost: 3 bell sets
To Serenity: 3 on 1 marimba (4.3-octave)
Lightning Bugs: bells, 2 on 1 xylophone

MIXED PERCUSSION
Blockheads: 3 on 1 marimba (4.3-octave), each with a woodblock
Seeking Elysium: bells, vibraphone, triangle, suspended cymbal
Another Time: 2 on 1 xylophone, bongos, medium tom, temple blocks, snare drum
Vanishing Act: vibraphone, mark tree, marimba (4.3-octave), gong, 3 timpani, suspended cymbal
