• 2 marimbas* — low A
• Piano — can be used with soloist only, or optionally in conjunction w/ marimba quartet accompaniment.
• One of the low A marimbas can be swapped with a low F marimba (4.5 octave) allowing extended range parts to be performed if a larger instrument is available.

Though Paul Pratt’s output of musical compositions is relatively small compared to ragtime composers, the quality of each of his works is apparent. The ragtime piece Colonial Glide is a testament to Pratt’s excellence as a composer and in this arrangement for solo xylophone and marimba quartet by Eric Rath, its quality can now be spread to a wider audience. Colonial Glide can also be found in The Golden Age of Ragtime, a compilation of five classic ragtime pieces arranged by Ralph Hicks and Eric Rath!
