Marimba 2 anchors the groove throughout, functioning in a role similar to a drumset player, while the upper voices expand and reshape the material.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe vibraphone parts include opportunities for improvisation, allowing performers to interact with the harmonic framework and rhythmic patterns established by the marimbas.
