Written during the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, the piece honors the theme of the holiday when our loved ones from the past can visit the living world to offer spiritual connection and guidance.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe piece was conceived to give younger players the chance to make music together in a chamber setting. While it is at minimum a mallet keyboard trio, the optional percussion parts are there for a more comprehensive sound and are playable by two to four players.
